Chronic Tacos & The Town

New thing of the day, tried a new place called Chronic Tacos and watched the move The Town.

Chronic Tacos! A coworker recommended it after I told a story of how we were asking a local "what's a good Mexican place around here?" and one of them said "Oh the El Torito is really good". Um, not really authentic but we haven't been to the local one so it might be good.

Anyway my coworker was like, you should try Chronic Tacos next to Moorpark College off of the 118 Collins exit. So we tried it - DELISH! We beat the rush of people and it's a bit Chipotle-ish where they assemble your food in front of you.

Breaded fish burrito

Husband got the beef and carnitas tacos. I got the breaded fish burrito. Their burritos are huge and they battered and fried the fish fresh. I had it with a lime cilantro rice. Everything was really good. The salsa was AMAZING! The breaded fish was fresh and tasty and the breading so good. We really liked it. My husband liked the beef taco better. The carnitas had a tinge of sweet. Overall we were very happy with our food and we will be going back :) 

Next on our date night we watched The Town at our local discount movie theater. It was a great movie! The trailers looked good and the reviews were also good. I was hesitant to watch Ben Affleck star and direct in a movie. The movie was excellent. I won't give anything away, but overall we really enjoyed it. There was action and some smart criminals. It was good drama, good thrills and I liked the ending as well. Not everyone wins and happily ever after, but something else. Not sure if it's worth owning, but we liked it! So go see it :) It was a good evening and 2 good new things of the day.
