Live Wrestling
Turns out, it was a lot of fun. The place had yummy jalapeño poppers & drinks were priced reasonably. The atmosphere was rowdy & fun loving. The wrestling was ridiculous, campy & fun. I have a new respect for these wrestlers, seeing the acrobats & stunts they pulled. I loved some of the cheating & drama that went on. Overall it was a great show and for $10, totally worth the entertainment.
Best of all we were friends with one of the guys in it, so we were told to boo loudly for him & taunt the bad guys. I actually liked a lot of the "villains". There was spitting, chair beatings, smack talk and a chic fight. The final rumble consisted of 8 very athletic & seasoned wrestlers who at a fast, furious & rumble pace battled for the final championship. Some of the stunts & moves were incredible.
Overall an unexpectedly fun time. I will go again when our comedian friend is in the audience heartily taunting the wrestlers. I love that its so campy & that no one takes it that seriously. Its all very theatrical & dramatic but light & fun. I saw some kids there, and adults, truly having a fabulous time. Good ol fashioned cheering, booing and gladiatoresque bloodthirst for fights and rooting for the good guys. Oddly enough, I would go again. You should try it too.

57 Chevy
On my list to get, a black 67 Chevy Impala from one of my favorite shows, Supernatural. I also want the blue 72 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia from Kill Bill 2. If anyone sees these, please buy & I'll pay back :)
Also a cool site, the IMCDB, Internet movie cars database. Tells you all the cars used in movies & tv :) sweet!
One of my friends restores classic cars & one of his was used in a flashback scene and filming of the new Captain America movie. So cool.

Lucky?
Had lunch out and I don't usually have lunch out. Ate fortune cookie which is also unusual. The morning was weird as our department is expanding, I got new job responsibilities, and I sat in two interviews this morning, with two more this afternoon, doing the interviewing, also something completely new. I've never been the one doing the interviewing and I like it considerably more. Things are changing fast & in unexpected ways.
I feel like I've been lucky this far. I hope I'm not losing my luck but that all changes are for my greater good. I hope this means I'm getting luckier and not the other way around. Eesh.

Sushi Go Round
Today I completed level 20 and beat the game! I was so into my game at one point another friend/coworker was balancing stuff on my head and shoulders as I was completely immobile and totally focused moving only my thumbs and blinking. I was even somewhat holding my breath. It was close and I had one life left and almost lost the final level, but made it through!
What's the Japanese word for victory? Arooooooo kin? Anyway victory is mine!

Omega Sushi - Simi Valley
New thing, tried Omega Sushi in Simi Valley. This used to be Arigato which was good, but changed over. I wasn't sure about going to the new place but saw some great reviews on Yelp. Also, the best deal, $25 all you can eat sushi for Dinner, and $20 for all you can eat sushi at lunch. Of course there is a one hour limit and a restriction on sushi, but still a fabulous deal. We decided to try it for our girl's night.
Shared 3 rolls - a "maralyn mon roe" roll, a Dynamite roll and something else I don't remember. Also shared salmon sushi, albacore sushi and salmon roe sushi. We were over-stuffed and it was very good. Our sushi chef was super friendly and chatty at the end. Best and favorite rolls were probably the Dynamite, the Slbacore, Salmon and Salmon Roe. We will go again. Be sure to support this establishment as we love their all you can eat sushi and we hope they will stay in business! This has been added as a regular favorite.
