Turns out, it was a lot of fun. The place had yummy jalapeño poppers & drinks were priced reasonably. The atmosphere was rowdy & fun loving. The wrestling was ridiculous, campy & fun. I have a new respect for these wrestlers, seeing the acrobats & stunts they pulled. I loved some of the cheating & drama that went on. Overall it was a great show and for $10, totally worth the entertainment.
Best of all we were friends with one of the guys in it, so we were told to boo loudly for him & taunt the bad guys. I actually liked a lot of the "villains". There was spitting, chair beatings, smack talk and a chic fight. The final rumble consisted of 8 very athletic & seasoned wrestlers who at a fast, furious & rumble pace battled for the final championship. Some of the stunts & moves were incredible.
Overall an unexpectedly fun time. I will go again when our comedian friend is in the audience heartily taunting the wrestlers. I love that its so campy & that no one takes it that seriously. Its all very theatrical & dramatic but light & fun. I saw some kids there, and adults, truly having a fabulous time. Good ol fashioned cheering, booing and gladiatoresque bloodthirst for fights and rooting for the good guys. Oddly enough, I would go again. You should try it too.
