Played Tennis

New thing today, played tennis with the husband at a new court.

One first, played tennis with the husband. We've never played together. We've always talked about it but never did. But we did today. It was hilarious. I'm horrible at tennis. The only other time I've ever played is in high school and I was miserable as well. I was terrible again today. It was so awful it was funny and we were laughing a lot throughout the game. Lots of fun and I would do it again. I guess I can only get better.

Another first was we played at new place. I guess anywhere I play would be new. It was a park we always go to in Simi.

Anyway those were the new things today. Who knew being horrible at something would be so much fun :)

Burnt Out Trash Can

New thing today, I saw the coolest piece of trash art ever. It was trash waiting to be picked up but we saw it on our walk and I thought it was awesome fine art. Someone must have let something burn in the trash can and it melted. So very cool. Loved it. If we had room I would take it home as an art piece. Seriously :) well I suppose not - minimalist and all, but it was one of the coolest things I've ever seen. New thing!

Take-A-Break Massage - Coldwater Creek Spa Simi Valley

New thing today, got a Take-A-Break Massage at the Coldwater Creek Spa in Simi Valley. I think I'm hooked. I had a chiropractor appointment yesterday, and he mentioned that the best time to get a massage is 24 hours after my chiropractic appointment, because my bones were aligned so my muscles if massaged would be able to respond better to a massage and relax much longer after the massage. So I decided it was time and tried it out.

Holy smokes I was enjoying it. See I have trouble relaxing, I've realized. I find that the massage forces my tense muscles to loosen and forces me to unravel. It's a little ticklish and painful at times because I have tight knots here and there, but wow I'm still feeling the results and it's like I feel so relaxed 6 hours later from that 30 minute massage. It's fabulous! Feels very therapeutic and much needed for my body.

The overall treatment at the Coldwater Creek Spa was pretty fantastic as well! I'll be going a few times  a year at least, and massages will probably be my new treat to myself! Ahhhhhhhhh.

Vegas Roll - Omega Sushi

New thing today, tried the Vegas Roll at Omega Sushi. It had spicy seafood, cream cheese, and avocado on the inside, then outside was deep fried with spicy mayo & eel sauce. Good stuff, very fattening and not so good for the diet, so I will be working out tomorrow.

Another occasion to celebrate though. It was my nephew's first time eating out having sushi. He is 7 and was curious and wanted to try it, so we had the all you can eat sushi bar special, got a bunch of different fish and things and tried them out. He likes it! He likes Japanese food and sushi, so I am so excited! Very cool of him! Ah, young converts to Japanese food - love it!

Howloween Pooch Parade and Pet Expo - Simi Valley - 2013

New thing today, first time went to the Howloween Pooch Parade  Pet Expo - Simi Valley - 2013.

It had maybe 20-25 booths of dog related booths and services. There was a Haute Dog vendor there. They had a dog costume parade, frisbee throwing/catching competition, and demonstrations from the Sheriff's K9 squad, obedience school and therapy dog trainers.

Overall just a fun silly excuse to dress up dogs in costumes and watch people and dogs get in the Halloween spirit. Family fun :) Go next year! We will :)

Enjoy some photos.
