I enjoy these podcasts a lot and when the brain feels up to it, I listen. I've enjoyed episodes 1 & 2 so far, and this one was just as interesting. I didn't realize how much of a pain in the ass Socrates must have been, but also in a good way. I imagine he was this irritating yet enlightening type person or experience. You know, those unpleasant things that help you realize the truth. He seems like he would be like that - poking and prodding and forcing you to answer questions to find out things. The Socratic method. It was a great take on the philosopher and helped me understand him and the other philosophers in this podcast.
Random - but there was a movie somewhere, I think it was Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure where they pronounced his name "Sow-Crates" instead of pronouncing it "Saw-Craw-Tease"(pardon the impromptu pronunciation spelling). Anyway I sometimes think "Sow-Crates" whenever I see his name, just because of that stupid movie. Not that I think that's how it's pronounced, it's just that the name pronunciation stuck after the movie, and it's sorta funny to pronounce it wrong in my head.
Yeay Mondays? That's all I've got.
I highly recommend the podcast if you like learning about philosophy :)
